How do I upload content to the BackOffice and maintain formatting?

How can I rearrange the forms on my upload pages?

How do I add a new page to my website?

Q: How do I upload content to the BackOffice and maintain formatting?

A: The answer depends on what program you use to create content. The BackOffice is designed to accept HTML, the language of the World Wide Web. Without HTML tags, attributes such as spacing, bolding and other formatting may not be maintained.

If you use Microsoft Word, use the "Paste from Word" button  in the graphical editor to maintain formatting.

If you use an HTML editor, you can add the code to the BackOffice like this:

  • Check the "source" box  in the graphical editor to switch to text editing mode.
  • Copy and paste all of your HTML code between, but not including, the <body> and </body> tags into the text box.

Q: How can I rearrange the forms on my upload pages?

A: Use the "Order by Numbered Link Order" feature for this. To do this you will need to assign an order number to each file. When you click on the title of an existing file or add a new file, you will see a "Link Order" field. Use this to assign a number to your file. Once you have assigned the link order number you can choose to have the files display Descending or Ascending based on the assigned link order number.

Q: How do I add a new page to my website?

A: Within the BackOffice, click "Edit Site Map". Then, on the left hand menu, click Add Page. Next, Choose a Page Type from the drop down list and select from the templates for that type. Give the page a title (this will appear at the top of the page) and a navigation label (this will be the name of the button that links to this page). Click Save. Now you can determine the button's position in the navigation menu by using the control pad in the left side menu. Once you have the new page in place click "Save Site Map" and then "Exit Site Map". Add content to the page by clicking on the page name from the site map.
